What To Expect

Carmel is a vibrant community of people from all over the Matthews and greater Charlotte area seeking to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

During your visit, you’ll find warm and friendly volunteers around the campus ready to greet and guide you to a smooth experience at Carmel. Through three identical worship services at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00am on Sunday mornings, you will experience theologically-sound music and engaging, biblical and practical teaching.

No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, you’ll find that at Carmel we love helping people follow Jesus as they seek to navigate everyday life and impact others.

FAQ’s

What time is church?

Sunday worship services start at 8:00, 9:30 & 11:00am. Have kids? Come 15-20 minutes early to have ample time to get them checked in and settled before the service begins.

What is Carmel’s address?

The church is located at 1145 Pineville-Matthews Road, Matthews, NC 28105.

Where should I park?

We saved you a spot up front! After you arrive on campus through the main entrance, you’ll want to bear right towards the main parking lot. From there you’ll find Guest Parking designated by large marked flags for your convenience. Parking Attendants are also available to direct you if needed.

What do you have for my kids?

Carmel Preschool, CarmelKidz, or Carmel Student ministries provide age-appropriate, gospel-based teaching, worship, and fellowship at 9:30 or 11:00am.  We take the safety and security of your kiddos very seriously. For your first visit, consider arriving about 15 minutes early to allow time to get them checked in and settled.

How can I find community and get to know people?

Carmel is a place where families find friends, and friends feel like family. Small Groups are an excellent way to build relationships and grow spiritually. They meet at 9:30 or 11:00am. Learn more on the Small Groups page.

What is the worship and teaching like?

You will experience theologically-sound and passionate worship music, as well as, engaging, biblical and practical messages during the service. Still have questions? The best way is to preview a sermon online and see for yourself!

What should I wear to Carmel on a Sunday morning?

You can expect a variety of dress – shorts, suits and anything in between. Be relaxed or dress up, just come!
