Areas of Service

1 Corinthians 15:58

Volunteers serving in the eMedia area are trained to edit audio sermons and upload them to the church’s website for access by computer users or on the “RadioFree Carmel” site for podcasting.  eMedia volunteers also work to duplicate sermons on cassette or cd for distribution to home-bound Carmel members, or for purchase in the Carmel Media Center or online.

Editing Audio Sermons
The position is responsible for editing and converting the sermon into a usable format for both web and CD. The person will use sound editing programs to trim and normalize the audio. The sermon is then uploaded to the internet. This could be the job for you, if you want to serve but have other obligations and commitments on Sunday mornings.

Position: edit and upload audio file of sermon each week for availability on the Carmel website. The previous Sunday is available for streaming while years of pervious sermons are available as podcast.

CD/Tape Duplication
Tape duplication is a very important ministry to the homebound of Carmel. This ministry also fills orders of previous sermons that people would like to have for their library. Tapes can be duplicated several at a time using a tape duplicator. CD's are duplicated using a computer and cd duplicator/labeler.

Position: duplicate tapes and mail to homebound Carmel members, fill orders that have been submitted via the Media Center and online for sermon cd's and special events.
