Christmas Eve Candlelight Services
Celebrate the coming of Emmanuel, God with Us, at Christmas Eve Candlelight services at 2:00, 3:30 and 5:00pm. Our worship will include singing Christmas carols, reading Scripture, a brief message from Pastor Alex and lighting candles to symbolize the coming of the Light of the World. This is a wonderful time when all the family can be together for worship and we encourage you to bring the little ones to worship with you, however, childcare is provided birth - 4, if you prefer. Come, bring your family and invite a neighbor to join you for Christmas Eve worship at Carmel!
Songs of Christmas
We begin our Christmas sermon series “Songs of Christmas” with music celebrating the arrival of the Messiah from the Worship Team, Choir, Band and Orchestra. Join us Sunday morning, December 8 at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00am to welcome our Savior through music and a message from Pastor Alex.
Talking about the ideas in Sunday's message helps us learn and apply God's Truth. Click here for questions to discuss with family and friends.

Carmel Winter Weather Policy
What happens at Carmel when the roads are dangerous because of ice or snow? Our policy is that we will not cancel Sunday morning worship services if the roads are passable. We ask that you make the best travel decision for the safety of your family. If roads or parking areas are dangerous and we decide to cancel a worship service or ministry event, we will communicate that to the church using several methods. We will:
- Post the decision here on our website News page, Facebook and Twitter
- Send an email
- Update the recording on the main church phone, 704.847.8575.
- Notify TV stations WBTV, WSOC, WCNC and radio station 91.9
As for our schools, WEE School follows the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School decision. If Charlotte schools are closed, WEE School is closed. If CMS operates on a 2 hour delay, then WEE School opens at 10:00am. Carmel Christian School does not necessarily follow Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The CCS decision will be communicated via the phone and email system for parents, as well as the website, carmelchristian.org, and television and radio stations.
For sports events (practices and games), you will find updated information on the ROCsports phoneline 704-708-8138 x3990, at ROCsports.org, and the ROC Facebook page.
Carmel Community is the place where you can find phone numbers and email addresses for Carmel Baptist members and attenders. It is an online version of the old church directory - much improved. This is a secure site where you can easily search for contact information for members of the Carmel Family. Plus, in Carmel Community it’s easy to update your church records with a new phone number, email address or a family photo! In addition to serving as an online directory, Carmel Community also provides event registration and online giving options. It is a one-stop-shop! Check it out here.
You can sign up to receive emails from Carmel, one from Pastor Alex, the Carmel ENews with updates about the latest events, Table Talk and occasional special updates. To receive Carmel Email, please complete this form.
